Secondary Autistic Support

Currently, ARIN IU 28 operates three Autistic Support classrooms in Indiana Area School District.  These classrooms provide an individualized educational  program for students who can be served appropriately with peers in a middle school or high school setting.  Students have the opportunity to participate in the general education setting and curriculum as determined by their IEP teams.  Students participate in a variety of community learning experiences as well as activities within the school setting.   This classroom is part of the Autism Initiative supported by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and PaTTAN (Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network) and ARIN IU28.
