Artificial Intelligence

The Curriculum Department has been busy taking "AI on the road", offering professional development to educators and administrators on Artificial Intelligence literacy, policy, implications, instruction, and use. ARIN is committed to ensuring our region keeps up to date on the rapid changes that AI presents in the education world.

New! A Learning Management System, Alludo.

Alludo is our online professional learning platform where teachers can choose from hundreds of micro-courses on topics like instructional tech, classroom strategies, and more. Educators can learn at their own pace, earn badges, and explore topics that match their needs—or administrators can request curated playlists aligned to district goals.

ARIN IU28 and Evergreen After School Club Excited to Resume Programming

Thanks to funding from the PA Department of Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant, Armstrong-Indiana Intermediate Unit 28 and Evergreen After School Club are excited to continue their sixteen-year partnership of providing afterschool and summer programming in our area. This grant provides funds for low-income areas to provide out-of-school programming for academic enrichment and youth development.

Certified Fiber Optic Technician Training

The Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT) Level I training course is designed to teach basic fiber optic networking. IUP offers the only Fiber Optic Association (FOA) approved program in Pennsylvania and students routinely pass the exam to become Certified Fiber Optics Technician. CFOTs have a broad knowledge in fiber optics that can be applied to almost any job - design, installation, operation - for almost any application - outside plant, premises, manufacturing, etc.

Early Childhood Educator Behavioral Interventions Series

This series offered to local educators in early childhood will offer participants an opportunity to explore a variety of proven behavioral interventions to use with young children. The series is rooted in the Pyramid Model of Intervention which provides a framework for instruction designed to promote young children’s social and emotional development.

Running for Public Office When You Have a Disability

If you’re looking for ways to better connect with your world, running for a local or state office is a great way to start. Getting involved in your community helps you keep tabs on what’s going on around you while tapping into your inner passions. Plus, if you are a person with disabilities, it’s an excellent opportunity to raise awareness and teach that our differences do not separate us, but instead are what form our world.
