Elementary Autistic Support

Currently, ARIN IU 28 operates two elementary Autistic Support classrooms.   One in Homer Center School District and one in Penns Manor Area School District. These classrooms provide an individualized educational program for students who can be served appropriately with peers in an elementary school setting. Students have the opportunity to participate in the general education setting and curriculum as determined by their IEP teams.  This classroom is part of the Autism Initiative supported by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and PaTTAN (Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network) and ARIN IU28.
