Pennsylvania Institute for Instructional Coaching (PIIC)

PIIC, a partnership of the Annenberg Foundation and PDE, is a statewide initiative that provides uniform and consistent delivery of sustained professional development around instructional coaching and mentoring at the secondary level, with a focus on literacy. Participating districts receive free professional development for instructional coaches/teacher leaders in the areas of secondary literacy and coaching, on-site support from an IU “coach mentor” who provides professional support and development to coaches', and assistance to administrators in effectively using instructional strategies to maximize student achievement.
