Pennsylvania Value-Added Assessment System (PVAAS)

PVAAS is a tool provided to districts by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that uses statistical methodology to analyze PSSA assessment data, resulting in two types of information: 1) value added (or growth) data on cohorts of students, and 2) student level projection data. ARIN hosts annual workshops facilitated by the Statewide PVAAS Core Team and provides technical assistance to districts at their request.
